In our liberal arts program, students are widely educated in the social sciences, natural sciences, and humanities sciences, and are trained in specialized academic disciplines. We have a curriculum for each of the eight fields of the liberal education program. This aims to broaden the intellectual perspective of each student, focusing on over 40 departments. Students usually concentrate on half of the course, a quarter of the general education course, and a quarter of elective subjects selected by the students. The only specific course required for all students is the semester writing course. However, each department has several courses necessary for students to obtain a degree in the field. Therefore, each student's course is very personal. All undergraduates learn to read, write, and think critically regardless of course choice. This is an important skill for every effort.
