What I feel when I look up at the American Flag

Johnson Air Force Base in New Jersey - When I saw the American flag, I saw something beautiful. I feel various things such as honor, patriotism, freedom, pride, safety, appreciation. I also thought of our service members.

I am honored to see the American flag. Because I can live freely in the USA. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of thought, so you do not need to worry about those who teach you how to live.

For centuries men and women have fought for our beautiful country. When I saw the national flag I could not think of those special people who could not help. My father is one of these special people I think. Because he is fighting for the freedom that America has and the day we have it everyday. I am very proud of him and he did, he makes me feel safe.

I remember going to the funeral of family friends and my father's colleagues. The American flag was hanging over his coffin. The flag reminds of his deep patriotism and his sacrifice.

When I looked up at the American flag, I thought about making this country today - honor, patriotism, and pride. Service members convey the meaning of the banner through the sacrifice they do every day. I looked up at the American flag and I was proud to be an American.

Like many southern boys, I have grown up and in my room are two national flags of American flag and South Army national flag hanging. The American flag is huge and occupies most of the wall. When I was a boy, I really liked the American flag, so I was a nasty child trying to climb the flagpole.
