What Does it Mean to “Do the Right Thing?”

The "simplify" approach works in many situations, but in simple terms there is the possibility of falling into a moral obstacle. Using an oversimplified approach to solve complex ethical problems means to ignore variables to consider.

There is no common understanding of the moral expectations of the whole organization unless you carefully define what you mean by doing the right things.

When you do not use the ethical framework you can prove "mistaken" immoral choices using fuzzy definitions.

"Doing the right thing" is a good starting point, but you need to define it in detail. Otherwise, people will do whatever they think is right, it may undo your organization from orbit

Moral leaders are more than just telling people to "do right." They shared examples of people who did the right thing. They explain the ethical performance standards that define "right things" and put them into practice when discussing how to deal with competing interests. In this approach, everyone is moving in the same positive direction.

It does not mean that power is bad. Indeed, using forces to correct mistakes is a process that is beneficial to the organization. In fact, having power can bring right things to life. The leader has the ability to lead. The administrator has the right to analyze and execute things. Officers have the right to do things for the company. Therefore, everyone needs much power and motivation to accomplish their work! Legal power is also called positioning force. As these names suggest, legitimate power is the power of a person within an organization to be considered legitimate from that standpoint. The manager of the Leadership team has certain responsibilities, has the authority to delegate work and subordinates to subordinates, review its work, and provide feedback.

In the field of enforcement, it is well known that leaders are people who do the right things and managers are people who do the right thing. Expression draws power from the meaning of the word "correct" in English. To do the "right thing" means to choose from among the possibilities to support something. The comprehensive wisdom of mankind knows that this is the way of action. "To do the right thing" has the meaning of efficiency, effectiveness, and expert knowledge. This does not mean that the leader is inefficient or does not have expertise, the manager does not understand the overall situation. This is just a way to emphasize that leaders need to seek a wide range of intuitive knowledge and use it to provide guidance and guidance.

Sometimes we want a group that is victorious and a group that everyone seems to obey. However, because everyone is doing it is not the right thing. Morality and greatness do not need most people. Sometimes you need to break the most common way to make a new way for yourself.
