Compared to the 19th century, the prevention of infectious diseases is the number one cause of death and today is facing new challenges: Reducing the incidence of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, stroke. In most cases cardiovascular disease is still the number one fatal disease in the United States. This may be due to poor spiritual health conditions promoted by various physical, psychological and social influences and poor choice of behavior.
It is widely believed that the most effective way to treat chronic diseases is prevention. A) A way to expand effective intervention to deal with problems affecting more than a third of American adults; B) How to design interventions for persons or personality types targeting various incentives. As we build our day-to-day growing data set, we are beginning to discover small changes in the interface or small changes in how the health coach interacts with the patient. This may have a major impact on basic health outcomes. As our data set becomes more abundant, our experiments and results will become increasingly rich. Our ultimate goal is to achieve an adaptive and personalized curriculum that optimizes weight loss and reduces mean blood glucose (a1c) while reducing the maximum risk per participant. Prevention of patients with heart disease is my primary goal, but early detection is the best option if it is not completely prevented.
