Recently we shared many interesting learning experiences in the chat room. A video to learn a new language, a game to explain how neurons work, and a VR reporter using Google Cardboard. Some of them feel truly innovative learning methods, others are - click here to read this article, click there and read further. They have no life. So, we ask ourselves, what makes the learning experience better?

While we can easily distinguish good learning experiences, we discovered that it is difficult to interpret why it feels wonderful. For us, understanding is the central part of our design process. It enables our team to continually pursue better things and develop our own standards to make learning experiences extraordinary. The most important thing for us is that we can not integrate these superior elements from one project to another without knowing the reason. In order to make learning experience better, we need to develop a shared language with practical and non-abstract terms.

Our team has many different opinions about this, but we have reached an agreement on three key factors that bring good learning experience:

This means that we are helping them understand what they could not understand before, it is easy to use and well made. The whole experience should be intentional and learner needs should be placed first.

If it does not work it can not be a learning experience. What is visually rich, interactive and fun is important, but rather than replacing them, it should be used to enrich learning

Education is the most sad result that education can bring just by passing the exam. We believe that good learning experiences should motivate our students to become lifelong learners and encourage them to educate beyond the courses we create.

These are just a few starting points, but we will explain the new elements every week for the next few months. At the same time, we want to ask what the community is thinking. How good do you think the learning experience is good? What elements did you use for your work? We would like to know your answer - contact us on Twitter or join the conversation on LinkedIn

There are two choices. Working for an organization under attack or working for a company advising companies that are continuing to attack. I work for Symantec and Mandiant, but I also recommend Big 4 consulting firms or other IR boutiques such as Optiv and Stroz Friedenberg. For a company that has been attacked ... Most people have it, but financial and wealth 100, the foundation of the defense industry, is a good choice.

In last week's article, my colleague Adrienne Curtis Dickinson introduced seven key elements of problem-based learning at Sammamish High School. These key elements lead Sammamish employees' professional learning experience and ongoing PBL course design. This week we have the opportunity to share important elements of student's voices in various educational methods and learning methods. The term "student's sound" represents a way to provide advice on what happens in the school or classroom by the student. We want our students to know that their expertise, opinions, ideas are being evaluated in every aspect of school life. From the students participating in the group class conversation, students working with the curriculum design, or students establishing the school norms and policies, student voices go to every level of our work .
