Western Female Conversions to Islam

For many people, religion contradicts the ideals of feminist and seems to give equality rights to men and women; I am one of those people. I have never thought of religion seriously as a young girl. For me it's time to alternate Sunday and Thursday nights alternately. Sunday's school, which was born and raised by Roman Catholics, filled my feet with a brush swinging on the floor. Meanwhile, while picking up my nails, I memorized without honoring the hymn that was designated for my memories. I began to question seriously the religious belief I was associated with during my teen years as a youth leader in my teenage youth, but I can get married in Catholicism I was urged to confirm the sacrament.

"Islam" Haifaa A. Jawad, who is the author of "Islamic women's rights: real approaches" specializing in Islamic thought, in response to the issue of female circumcision, concluded that "there is no basis for Islam in this approach" I gave it. * Female circumcision is generally thought to be related to Islam, but faster than African Islam. Regardless of whether it is the Quran, the main source of Islamic law or the "Sunnah" of the Prophet Muhammad, it includes a direct appeal to this practice (see Ref 6). According to the history of these dictations, when Muhammad was asked about his view on female circumcision, he told his followers "circumcise but do not destroy". "But there are differences in Islamic clergy, some people actively support this practice, others oppose it.

In many Western countries the proportion of women in the transformation to Muslims is either too large or increasing. According to researchers at Swansea University, between 2001 and 2011, about 100,000 people joined Muslim faith in the UK, 75% of whom were women. In the United States, Hispanic women with higher conversion rates to Islam than Hispanic males rose from 32% in 2000 to 41% in 2011. In Lithuania, young women account for about 80% of Muslims. According to Susanne Leuenberger of the Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Bern, women account for 60-70% of European Muslim conversion.
