West Side Story

In 1961, the story of the popular Western Broadway musical inspired by William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" was released to the audience. After 38 years, viewers like myself can not resist it yet. I have never seen this movie supervised by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins, but I wondered why people like the movie that won this prize very much. After seeing the movie, it endured the test of time, I guess it was 10 oscar, because it is certainly an extraordinary movie.

The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet and the story of West End Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet's tragedy" are very similar to Arthur Laure's "Western Story", but there are also differences. The West End story is a contemporary version of Shakespeare's classic love story that ends with a tragedy.
