Welcome to School #15!

School number 15 was originally built in 1921. We are located in Clifton 's Dutch mountain, our founding members are primarily Dutch settlers. School number 15 is a microcosm of the surrounding community. About 350 students live in 15 schools this year. Our population also allows us to integrate a complex experience of so many different children and cultures.

Our focus is to maximize the performance as a citizen of students and communities by matching the curriculum with the core content standard, improving the educational experience of each student. Every day at the 15th school we provide each child the opportunity to develop the skills required for lifelong learners.

For any school, receiving active and ongoing support is an important factor in enhancing the positive recognition of the community and promoting the coordination and performance of schools and students' schools. Every day at school, we welcome and support our employees. The school-wide strategy of the students and families is to create a part of the mental health school - employees, students and families interact with each other and determine the school and its goals. Promote smooth transition, positive informal engagement, and social exchanges, promote social support, provide access to information, learn ways to function effectively in school culture, learn and intent It is desirable to create an atmosphere to encourage participation in decisions. Clearly, in order to achieve such ambitious photos, we need the overall creativity and liveliness of many schools, public health and mental health experts.

Let's see this problem from a historical point of view. Dorothea Dix is ​​a mental health reformer and a civil war nurse who lived between 1802 and 1887. At the age of 15, she opened a girls' school and was not popular at public schools. She taught me for a couple of years until I witnessed the terrible treatment of mentally ill patients in Massachusetts' prison. She began advocating better treatment of people suffering from mental illness not only in the United States but also in Europe. In 1848, she asked Congress to allocate land across the United States to provide facilities for patients with mental disorders. During the Civil War, Dix was the leader of the nurse and later became the chief nurse at the end of the Civil War. After the war, she continued advocating a better facility for people with mental illness. Therefore, people with mental disorders at national hospitals became famous nationwide.
