Cantril was formerly in the Fox Valley Community School District. Initially, there were two schools in the district. It is Cantoril's Cantoril primary school and the valley's Fox Valley. Milton's high school signed a grading arrangement with Van Buren school and Fox Valley, but sent a high school student to Keosauqua's Van Buren junior high school / high school where the original high school was closed and the elementary school and regional headquarters moved to Milton .
