I was born and grew up on the Gulf. She wrote three poems: "Home Economics", "Olympia of Bellocq" and "Earthguard", and won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize. Her latest work "Beyond Katrina: Meditation on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi" is a combination of prose and poetry. Art Beat will have a conversation with Trethewey this week.
After editing this biweekly collection, I feel dizzy. Seven new poets participated in this poem, donated 29 poems, and donated 48 poems back to the poem. Most importantly, one of our poems received a 1K clap. I think that this is a record of RP, but I may be wrong. After participating in the liberal rise of Arturo Ui at Bertolt Brecht, I also felt dizzy. When I touched politics of immersion for the first time in 2017, I thought that it was a part of the episode of the past twilight zone that has changed. But that is not the case. Brecht's word - and yes, his poetry as I think his satire is a "dramatic poetry" - today as fresh like 1941
My website coordinator, Carolina, read this poem with my colleague YAV Reba. Friday morning, when we shared weekly reflections, coffee and poetry, the familiar poem caused a new resonance. Carolina reminds us that all of us belong to the body. It is neither life nor death nor creation, we can not change the name of our God. One night, in his beloved arms, the next one in a cold cell. "Do not expel him, they will kill him," his wife asked the judge to look down on her. One day, starvation and dreams are alive, and the next one can not find life in the river. "Do not worry, my love, do not worry," he whispered when turning his gun at his head. Before being driven to death, he will only be seen by his family in their dreams and will never wake up.
One day Emma's poem appeared in my feed. It seemed like a miracle filled with words. Other writers have shared some of their talents through The Weekly Knob and The Junction, she wrote as if the story, the poem, and everything in between was calm in her mind. Outbreak I like what she brought to Medium. Kevin Cyta, a writer mainly poetically structured and shaped, wonders what form he shares with us. I think that most of his work is derived from works he collected earlier, and this work has no end. Regardless of whether you like it or not, there are some things on his profile that will definitely make you feel most important.
