Cannabis is an emotionally changing psychoactive drug with many nicknames such as pots, weeds, marijuana, herbs. In South America, this medicine is called dogga, it is called kabak in Turkey, kif in Morocco, and in brazil it is often called djoma (Americana 287). This is an ancient medicine that dates back to China for hundreds of years. In fact, it came from the Chinese medicine (Americana 286) of 2700 BC. Many cultures use it for meditation, religious worship, and sickness.
The first reason that weeds should be legalized is because there are many other medicines that are legal. Weeds are one of the few illegal and harmful medicines. Many hard drugs like painkillers, heroines, cocaine are drags that can cause great damage to your health and even your life. Cannabis must not be in the same category as these medicines. It should belong to the category of alcohol, tobacco and even sugar. These medications are usually related to cannabis rather than hard drugs (Nathan). Furthermore, it is clear that alcohol and tobacco are more harmful to people with marijuana. That is why I do not understand that marijuana's policies are not equal. Many of the health aspects of sugar are even more harmful than cannabis. Cannabis is safer than alcohol and difficult to take (Nathan). This is why many people can not understand why marijuana is illegal and alcohol.
Nine states and Washington DC have legalized marijuana and supporters believe that other countries in the US should follow it as well. According to Gallup, 64% of Americans now say that weeds should be legalized. Supporters of legalization of marijuana say that plants are safe, have legitimate health benefits and are enjoyable to use. However, alcohol dependents say that legalization of marijuana is not good for society, and not as harmless as the supporters say. What do you think? If they show the proportion of unreasonable arrest or imprisonment, they will detain the criminal justice fund from a country that has not legitimized marijuana. In fact, this applies to all states where marijuana is currently considered illegal. .
