We Must Work to Prevent Suicide

Imagine that someone's best friend died. Later, this man discovered that their friends committed suicide. Please imagine the feelings of this person and all the painful thoughts and memories in their minds. This person may feel strong sorrow and may betray it. Do not forget the suicide victim's parents. Their own children are worthless and can commit suicide. The students at the victim school were confused and began rumors and gossip. Every friend of the victim felt as if they committed suicide by themselves.

The theme of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10 this year is "cooperation for suicide prevention". Because suicidal behavior is a complex interaction between personal factors and socioeconomic and environmental factors and young people are faced with increasing difficulties, all stakeholders in the community are committed to suicide prevention In order to cooperate.

SAVE is one of the first domestic organizations for suicide prevention. Our work is based on the foundation and belief that suicide is preventable and everyone can play a role in suicide prevention. We know that we can save our lives by raising awareness of the public, educating the community, and wearing the right tools for everyone. SAVE is a non-profit organization of 501 (c) (3) which is managed by the Board of Volunteers and is managed based on Minnesota's nonprofit law. SAVE works at international, national, state, and local levels to focus on education and awareness to prevent suicide in the use of public health models in suicide prevention. SAVE operates according to guidelines issued by Surgeon General Suicide Action Call (1999) and National Suicide Prevention Strategy (2012).

Suicide prevention tool: Research shows that social support helps suicide prevention. Facebook is in a unique position to tie the troubled people to resources that can help them. We work with people and organizations around the world to provide support options to those who posted suicide on Facebook such as contacting friends, contacting help lines, reading hints that can be done at that time . We recently started suicide prevention support with Facebook Live and introduced artificial intelligence to find suicide articles before reporting. It also links people more widely with mental health resources, including support groups on Facebook.
