We Must Reduce Class Sizes and Improve Teaching Methods

The current educational purpose of county high school is to acquire the necessary knowledge to prepare for work. To achieve their goals, they have at least 30 students and only 1 teacher in each class. As a junior high school student at county high school, I believe that in order to improve the long-term education of students, we should reduce the number of lessons and improve customary teaching methods. The class size is too large and needs to be reduced.

The number of lessons has decreased. According to educational research, if the scale of the lesson is too large and the lesson is mainly targeted to a large group, we see that there is hardly any effect even if the class size is reduced. On the other hand, the academic achievement can be achieved by setting the number of classes to 15 or less. This is the most expensive school reform you can imagine (reduce the class size from 24 to 15, double the marginal cost of education), and perhaps limit it to school for disadvantaged students. However, if you want to narrow the difference between the minority and the white student more quickly, it may be effective to reduce the size of the class.

Our students succeed by reducing class size and standardized tests. Since we know that personalized attention can improve the student's academic performance, we must hold a national leader responsible for the legal requirements of the classroom size Hmm. Standardized tests do not accurately represent student possibilities and can not evaluate the ability of students to think critically in the world. Do not waste student time and taxpayer resources like political negotiation chips over effective educational tools such as standardized tests.
