Watergate: A Study of Political Corruption

Like many presidents around Richard Nixon, his president includes many highs and lows. Nixon's initial term between his regimes was inconsistent with the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement, and the assassination of Martin Luther King, but his president's legacy included widespread steering. It is regarded as the biggest scandal in the politics of the United States, the Watergate Incident. Despite the instability of the times, Nixon is an individual who thinks he is a gifted president in his vision of diplomacy and domestic policy issues, and that most people can lead the country.

Americans have long linked politics with corruption, and many have done so in the summer of 1974. In June, 49% stated that the Watergate incident is very serious as it exposed corruption in the Nixon regime, 42% said the scandal was just politics, both sides involved. But immediately it turned out that the Watergate incident was not just a political prank. According to Mr. Gallup's poll, the majority of May (51%) said there was sufficient evidence to prove that it could be tried in front of the senators. By early August, 65% of respondents replied, 23% opposed.
