Waterford Meadows, Waterford, Michigan

I grew up in a community called Waterford Meadows in Waterford, Michigan. The community consists of middle class citizens, mostly white Americans, nuclear families (family units consisting of parents and unmarried children), Bread Winner for men and Bread Winner for male housewives. Today, Waterford is a developing city, everywhere there is a commercial building, a new parcel, a wide road, and a fine restaurant. When I was a child, in the early 1980s, Watford was not as densely populated as today.

Since I finally came here, Waterford has gone a long way as a tourist destination. During the recession, the city suffered a considerable blow, but Watford experienced a tough challenge in the past. In 1495, after Henry VII succeeded in resisting camouflage to seize the throne, he gave a city not captured by the urban motto "Urbs Intacta". Watford today also shows the same resilience to attract and hold tourists. It is the oldest city in Ireland and has played an important trade port for centuries, but I am very impressed by one person.
