Water Scarcity: Privatization is Not the Solution

It is surrounded by water, but it rarely drinks. There are 6 billion people living on Earth. One billion people in 31 countries can not access safe and clean drinking water. California has only 20 years of water supply. Ironically, even in damp places on Earth, Cherrapunji in India is often short of water. After millions of people died of thirst and diseases, the movement of companies to find a solution to the water crisis is now globally. Water is a short-lived resource indispensable to every life, and it is managed every year by the government, it becomes a product for large corporations to buy and sell, also called privatization.

Although water shortage is not just a problem for developing countries, due to privatization and climate change, the American waterways have experienced considerable depletion. Water shortage is caused not only by the shortage of water but also by the supply of drinking water. The US and Canada continue to use more water than any other country each year. This has been exacerbated by increased commodity consumption such as sprinkler system, large washing machine, automatic waste disposer, dishwasher.

Water shortages are a major challenge for mankind to face global warming and rapid population growth. In many developing countries, shortage of water is an obstacle to progress. If the water quality is bad, 5,000 people die in India, most of them are children, which has a bad influence on society. Meanwhile, floods have caused thousands of deaths and trillions of losses since the beginning of the century, and the worst disasters occur each year because global warming seems to increase the violence of climate events.
