Water and Womanhood in Ancient Greece

In ancient Greece there were many stories, myths, legends that surround the ocean, many of them included horrible beasts, spectacular struggles, and angry gods. There is a story about revenge, indignation, cruelty, anger, but there are stories of understanding, compassion, usefulness, kindness. It is clear that many of these stories use women's power to show the ghosts of the sea and the sea and the goddesses when people examine many of the more vicious (sometimes disturbing) stories.
