Milbury, Massachusetts (WBTS) - Massachusetts' mother and a 7 - year - old daughter survived close contact with a driver who was distracted by a school bus.
The bus security camera video shows that the SUV is rapidly approaching, as the bus driver told her mother and daughter goodbye and crossed the road.
"I heard a very loud snore and stopped watching the car go past us," Ashley Makridakis said.
The bus driver said the SUV driver was not watching the red flashing light while passing through the bus.
They can not get the license plate number, but the police said they want the driver to do the right thing as they are shortening their attention
Miller Berry Police Commissioner Donald desassi said: "If you have the opportunity to enter and do the right thing, you can enter.
As he was not paying for school buses, the driver is more likely to be quoted, said Desossy.
"I want them to know what they did, they are stupid and reckless things that have nearly annihilated half of our families," Makridakis said.
The bus driver suddenly stopped. The woman looked outside the window and said something to her child in Spanish. When she rushed to the door behind the bus she jumped and hugged her child's chest. The bus driver began to take off again but she yelled that he had stopped for enough time for his mother and child to escape before he accelerated. The next destination was Johns, so he began collecting his own and he scrutinized it to make sure he had a Zimmerman file in his briefcase. As he approached the door behind the bus, I saw an orange. The bus door was caught by a women's scarf, it dragged a dirty step inside and the outside part knocked off violently and hard behind the bus.
When the bus approached McKenzie and got off the bus and met her mother, she saw a strange man in black parka waiting at a pause sign. As the bus stopped, the bus driver looked back at McKenzie and waited to get off. McKenzie did not see his mother, but she did not want to be kept waiting in the bus. She reluctantly quietly ascended down the aisle and was looking out through the window of her mother's truck. When McKenzie got on the bus she looked carefully at the man in the black hoodie and saw the bus driver. A man wearing a black parka made McKenzie tense because he did not know who he was and why he kept staring at himself. He made her feel uncomfortable and will discuss whether she should start walking on her way to her house. When McKenzie sat down there and discussed, she saw the mother jumped off the bus after stopping at the stop sign. Her mother ran to grab McKenzie.
