Waiver Request Application

If the course assignment is the same as the content, duration, and unit of the US graduate certificate program (or course), the US graduate school accepts the previous course. The previous course work application submitted the necessary documents to consider: a completion of the certificate and course explanation, or a copy of the official college transcript. The proportion of credits that must be taken at graduate schools in the US depends on the course. One third of the total units required to complete the certificate program can be received from previous course assignments.

We respond to your waiver request as soon as possible; Registration Office will contact you if further information is required.

Request exemption: Fill out the form below and include a request to abandon a particular course in the comments field. Please submit the form online. To consider your request, you need to email support document to registrar@graduateschool.edu.

You can apply for a free fee in one of the following two ways. 1) Select the exemption option in the Alliance Application, General Application, or Global Academy application. Your college or counselor must approve your waiver application online or submit your waiver by mail or fax. 2) Please select one of the following fee reduction options at Princeton Supplement: Realize the possibilities of Princeton Specific, ACT, University Council, NACAC, or your university. All low-income students are eligible for a specific tuition waiver on Princeton. Students named QuestBridge Finalists should choose to reduce the QuestBridge fee. You do not need to obtain approval from a university counselor if you use a Princeton specific reduction.

Questions about alliance application, joint application, general university application are slightly different. Is that important?

Yes. International students are entitled to apply for exemption. If you have a low income background or if your family fee is difficult to apply and you are applying for financial aid you can apply for a free fee. Even if you apply for an exemption fee, the application will not be adversely affected. You can learn more about fee reduction on our application method page. If English is not a major language used in your home, but you are enrolled in a school where English is not a language instructed, in addition to SAT reasoning (or ACT), the International English Test System Academic Program (TOEFL) ( IELTS Academic. In addition, there is the Pearson English Academic Test (PTE Academic). SAT subject tests are recommended, but not required. Otherwise, international students studying at a foreign high school and US citizens do not need additional entry requirements.
