At the speech of remarks of Willis Weatherford, John Stephenson, Larry Shinn of the sixth, the seventh and the eighth presidents, the spirit of these three people was studied. In these speech, each president said they thought Berea University was the most important aspect. In the last paragraph, three of the most important five aspects are identified. Race, region, religion, gender, and class. Willis Duke Weatherford, the sixth principal of Berea College, said in his inauguration speech that Berea's vision should continue prospering in the future.

Shin is the principal of Berea University in Kentucky. Prior to this appointment he served as Vice President of School of Science at Bucknell University, Deputy Director of Humanities and Dean of Religion. He studied ISKCON for more than 40 years in the United States, and in other works "The Dark Lord" was announced. This is a study on Hare Krishnas and cult disputes. He is also Minister of the Unified Methodist Church. Even before most scholars accepted their traditional and orthodox character (ISKCON), he was known to accept the sincerity of ISKCON.

Jesse Graves and Texas Review Press announced his first poetry collection, the landscape of Tennessee and blind birds. This book received the 2012 Weatherford Poetry Prize from Berea University, the Best Prize from the Appalachian Writers Association, and the Thomas and Lily D.
