"Under pressure" Charity Chronicle, Volume 1 14 (November 15, 2001): p. 9. Now two months after the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon's victims received unprecedented large-scale financial support, there were some ridiculous problems. Parliament, media, and the general public pay close attention to how to pay funds, and some charities are not fully aware of the situation. The American Red Cross and its free funds are always the focus of attention. The leaders there criticized them as plans to spend most of their money on other needs. In light of controversy, the organization's CEO Bernadine Healy resigned. No other funds have been allocated by other charities. Several critics call on the government to oversee the entire rescue operation
