Visual Impairment and Blindness

Although vision impairment and blindness caused by various diseases have been greatly reduced, many people are at risk of visual impairment with aging. Visual information is the most important for any navigation task and blind people become disadvantageous because there is no necessary information about the surrounding environment. Extensive development of comprehensive technology can expand support for visually impaired patients during exercise.

Visual impairment, including blindness, is one of the obstacles specifically addressed and defined by IDEA. If the child meets the definition of vision impairment of IDEA and the national standard (if present), that child will be covered by IDEA based early intervention service or special education and related services (depending on age). If your child is between 3 and 21 years old, we recommend that you contact your local public school. It is a good starting point to call a public school nearby. The school should be able to tell you the next step for your child to rate for free. If qualified, your child can start receiving services designed to meet the needs related to their educational needs and other obstacles.

Visual impairment - an athlete with visual impairment is sufficient to be judged as legal blindness in order to make full blindness out of the local sight. This includes damage to one or more components of the visual system (ocular structures, receptors, optic nerve pathways, and visual cortex).
