As long as nonviolence is based on utilitarian concerns, whenever more people are saved by killing someone, violence is always even an attractive and effective choice (see Libya). I believe that it is "the best for most people" to seriously address violence only by getting out of our limited rational human concept.

When no one attacks you or someone you care about, it's easy to become non-violent. If things you love are threatened by destruction, this is another story. Murphy's law is merely a common maxim that people throw in a conversation, which is related to the great power in our universe. This power is extremely important to the way we work our world in almost every effort we pursue. It drives the many problems we face and invites confusion. It is the only power to dominate everyone's life: entropy
