If a gladiator survives for three to five years in battle, he or she will be released and allowed to go home. The Romans saw a gladiator fighting because they thought it was interesting, but also that it would prepare for the war. People generally do not volunteer to become gladiators. A gladiator is a slave and accuses criminals and prisoners of war. Some people call it a lanister, or a gladiator owner will buy these people. However, this does not happen frequently, but some free people voluntarily become gladiators. Depending on what this person did or who the person is, the gladiator has different training and weapons.
