Before the study of our Vietnamese era started, I thought that I had a lot of understanding about the Vietnam War and its whole period. However, after listening to the talk of several speakers, I read Tim O'Brien's "What They Have", I learned that I knew almost nothing. In recent weeks it was not only highly educational but also very interesting. I learned more than I thought through those who mostly know it mostly, people who experienced it.

The Vietnam War was one of the most serious wars in American history. The reason why the United States was involved is that Communism started in North Vietnam. Citizens in southern Vietnam are concerned about the control of North Vietnam and are afraid that the north will dominate the south. The Communist Party of North Vietnam was supported by the Soviet Union and China, and the people of South Vietnam became vulnerable to North Korea. - America will participate in the Vietnam War Vietnam is an era where most of us want to forget in the history of the United States but in fact it needs to learn from it. Vietnam is an era when we have not seen the overall situation, "It is recognized through the lens of the Cold War Politics". (Member: 420) With new domino theory, Americans are concerned about their safety and the safety of the "free world". If they do not intervene, they will inevitably lose the world of Communism.

North Vietnam is under the Communist Party regime, so South Vietnam does not. Ho Chi Minh, the leader of North Vietnam, hopes to spread Communism throughout Vietnam and unify North Vietnam and South Vietnam. South Vietnamese leaders oppose the expansion of communism. America stands on the side of South Vietnam and puts war on different levels (Hagopian 73). Therefore, there are three main reasons for the Vietnam War. The Vietnam War had a major impact on the lives of Americans, including all fields of public and private life. As a result of the military conflict, the foreign policy of the United States changed greatly. The United States is considered to be the world's most powerful superpower, but the president's decision to settle the conflict in Vietnam will have some negative impact.

The then leader of Vietnam was Ngo Dinh Diem. He is a Catholic, and because most Vietnamese are Buddhists, it has caused a lot of controversy.
