Veterans and Military Families

AmeriCorps and Senior Corps serve veterans and soldiers nationwide. Our plan and members are dedicated to this mission and thank those who have served

AmeriCorps and Senior Corps will support community-based efforts to meet the specific needs of military families. These services include counseling and counseling for military children, legal aid, affordable housing, health care, counseling and so on.

Members will also help veterans apply and explore welfare options. Several AmeriCorps and advanced corps plan to work with the Wounded Warrior project

AmeriCorps and High Legion are planning to adopt veterans, especially veterans who have shifted from military experience to private life, to service opportunities including those with military experience

CNCS joins the Veterans Affairs Bureau and other federal agencies to commemorate the month of the National Veterans and Military families and the Veteran's Day.

In 2017 (FY), AmeriCorps and Senior Corps employ more than 21,700 veterans and support 550,800 veterans and military families

21,700 veterans serve as members of AmeriCorps and senior corps and help veterans and military families receive benefits, vocational training, job hunting funds, safe and affordable housing, and child consultation

90 senior corps projects are dedicated to 1,200 senior volunteers belonging to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of the whole country.

To serve well by veterans and their families, the Veterans Veterans Innovation Center (VACI) joined Syracuse University and the Veterans Family Research Institute (IVMF) in early 2015 and conducted a community based survey . Service coordination inquiry system in the AmericaServes program of Healthcare and Research Institute. Growing efforts provide a different level of engagement and VA and community can extend specific service networks via multiple touch points and multiple "front doors".

At the Veteran and Military Family Institute (IVMF), we have focused on veterans and family entrepreneurs as well as small business ownership for over 8 years. We know that this is a career path that resonates with veterans and their families for many reasons.
