Verify teachers and set permissions

When a user first logs in to the classroom, that user is identified as a teacher or student. Users identified as teachers are automatically added to the Classroom Teacher group

As a G Suite administrator, you can verify that users identified as teachers can access the required Classroom features. In addition, you can set teacher's permission for your domain.

Click [Others] at the top of the gray box, then select [Open] for everyone and open the service (click again for confirmation).

If you are using G Suite Directory Synchronization (GADS), School Directory Synchronization (SDS), or other synchronization tools, or if you already have a group that includes all teachers or employees in the domain, You can add it to the Class Teacher group.

If you are using GADS or SDS, you also need to manually exclude the classroom teacher group from sync.

Warning: To ensure that your teacher can continue using Classroom, do not delete the Classroom Teacher group. The group is automatically recreated, but it is empty. As a result, the user is asked for confirmation again and needs to reconfirm the teacher.

If a teacher is identified as a student, you must manually add that teacher to the Classroom Teacher group.

Search the group by entering the first few letters of the name or e-mail address. When the required group is displayed, select it

If a student is identified as a teacher, you must manually remove that student from the classroom teacher group.

Before deleting the teacher account, make sure that the student or collaborative teacher is not using the teacher's course. Deleting teacher accounts without assigning ownership restricts specific class functions

If the course is still in use, transfer ownership of the class to another teacher. For more information, see Transfer Class Ownership.

With SP LMS, you can assign specific access control sets to specific user groups. As an administrator, you can set permissions on a user group, such as allowing teachers to add courses and courses, or granting the user groups the right to change permissions.
