Deer has been walking around the earth for more than three million years and humans have consumed the meat of these animals since the existence of humans. There are wild animals in the menu when humans are hunters and collectors. Over the centuries society has experienced turbulent changes, and many believe that consumption of wild animals like hunting and deer is wrong. Venison is a high quality meat and many people do not try and think about everyday meals much. Society can gain a lot of facts and benefits from deer consumption as a daily protein in people's diet.

HS deer means a deer and for some people only a deer. However, most people in the English speaking world use "venison" to mean animals like all kinds of deer and deer.
