This is the most familiar and popular activity, there is a possibility of using too much. But there are many important things to keep in mind when using them, there are many different ways to use them.
For low level: enter the first letter, miss the end of the word, dash the letter, or enter the glossary
Kloz emphasizes the words in the same song without pressure and tells the students why one is simpler than the other.
If you spell check several words in succession, Ss not only guesses the form (adjective, particle, n, vb, preparation), but also word, rhythm, rhyme
Students will match the beginning of the line and the end of the line, such as "paradise on another day", "private investigation", "if any ..." (more complicated).
The group listens to different songs (Luka / Behind the Wall) or different themes (Easy Street / Money for Nothing) and different songs with their companions.
Students add their own poems. Good songs are Bob Dylan's "imagination" and "a man naming all animals".
An important aspect of using songs in the classroom is to give students the opportunity to read, think, and discuss lyrics. Levy and Byrd (2011) printed lyrics of songs used in my course and distributed copies of the music to students before playing music (see sample in Appendix B). This will give students the opportunity to read these things the composers are trying to convey and strengthen these thoughts as they add music. This is particularly beneficial if certain words are more difficult to understand when singing. Lyrics covers a wide range of judicial-oriented themes such as peace, confirmation of diversity, and alleviation of poverty. For example, in the song "Everyday People", Sly and Family Stone will sing about respecting and accepting everyone whatever the difference.
Using short songs (about 1 minute) is a great way to get used to fast and efficient transitions. In my classroom, I use songs to set it, songs are used for cleaning. When the class is used to that song, they will know that they are ready to do the work or they are completely tidied up before the songs are played. I like to give students topics of conversation, such as summer highlights and lowlights. I tell them to walk around the room to tell them. Then when I see them fully immersed, I use a caution signal. Then we went back to the carpet and evaluated the way they did it. Sometimes we practice at least 4, 5 or 6 times. It looks boring, but it is worth the exercise over and over.
