To prepare for this writing task, I interviewed 15 students from the university and collected the legend of their city. Almost all the students who interviewed mentioned the legend called "lights off". Those who did not mention it recognized when I explained it. I interviewed a second grader of a 19-year-old man who is expected to enter business school. He graduated from community college in the autumn of last year and now lives with relatives of a nearby school.
The backseat murderer (also called high beam) is a legend of a common automobile criminal city, well known in the United States and the UK. This legend includes women who are driving and are being tracked with strange cars and trucks. A mysterious chaser flashed his high beam, chased her and even ran into her car at times. When she finally arrived home, I noticed that the driver was trying to warn that a man (a murderer, a rapist or a mentally ill patient) is hiding behind her rear seat. Whenever a man sits and attacks her, the driver behind him uses his high beam to scare the murderer.
Urban legends, urban myths, city stories, or modern legends are forms of contemporary folklore. It is usually composed of fictitious stories that are usually presented as genuine with horrible or humorous elements rooted in local pop culture. These legends can be used not only for entertainment purposes but also for semi-serious explanation of random events such as missing and strange things. The legend of the city is spread by all media such as newspaper, e-mail, social media. With only small changes to adapt to regional changes, the legend of several cities has passed many years. Recent legends tend to reflect contemporary situations such as stories of people suffering from ambush and anesthesia. And it is said that it will be surgically removed for transplant.
Ethologists have proposed a number of definitions for urban legends. For many people, the legend must be a story, a character, and some kind of conspiracy. In addition, we classify widely distributed error messages into the city's legendary category. For example, if your roommate commits suicide you incorrectly believe that you will automatically pass through all of your university course within a semester. And it is often considered an urban legend. These "facts" do not necessarily have the traditional legendary narrative elements, but they are handed down among people and often have elements of attention, horror, or humor seen in legends . The legend of a particular city may spread as a fact or a story. For example, you can tell someone that there is a huge crocodile in New York's sewer and you can talk about a group of children who tripped over animals.
