The famous American writer Upton Sinclair wants to make a big impact on society. Born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1878, he came from a southern nobleman family. His father is an alcoholic and his mother comes from a wealthy family. When Sinclair was 10 years old, the family moved to New York. His father sold his hat every night and spent the night at the bar. As a child, Sinclair is a good reader and scholar. At the age of 14, he started writing at his own leisure. He studied at Columbia University and then moved to Quebec province in Canada.

Just like anyone else, Upton Sinclair is a completely unknown person. He was born on 20th September 1878. He is the son of Upton Beall Sinclair and Priscilla Harden, born in Baltimore, Maryland. His father, Sinclair Senior, is an alcoholic and a wine salesman. It is said that his father's shadow of alcoholism was obscured in most of his childhood.
