Female dancers need to wear ballet bags, plain leotards, ballet leggings, pink ballet shoes. If you are auditioning at Point, please bring your pointed shoes. Male dancers are asked to wear white T-shirts, black pants, or ballet tights and black ballet shoes. The head shots of all dancers are 4 × 6 or less (this picture is not refundable)

In the performing arts world, auditions are needed for many reasons. Typically, the employer or group will use the audition to select the performers for the next show or production. The audition for the opportunity of the performance is either a single performance (eg comedy club's monologue), a series or seasonal performances (Broadway drama season), or a permanent piece for the performance organization (eg an orchestra or a dance group) possible. Audition is a systematic process that industry experts choose performers. This is like a job interview in a formal job market in a sense.
