University of Tennessee Sports is an extremely busy and exciting week at the University of Tennessee. After the spring vacation, the students spent two weeks on campus. That means that we needed a lot of tests. However, most people in East Tennessee are more interested in the activities of the Vols Sports Department. Two years before Tennessee became a state and legislative meeting in the southwestern district of Knoxville on September 10, 1794, the University of Tennessee was chartered as a Blount University. This new, all male, sectarian-free institution worked with small student groups and faculty members for 13 years. And in 1807, the school was renamed East Tennessee College as a condition of the settlement benefit born from the contract. When the first president and full-time faculty member Samuel Carrick died in 1806, the school was temporarily closed until 1820.

The University of Tennessee in Knoxville is a flagship campus of the University of Tennessee system, managed by 26 Board members appointed by Governor of Tennessee.
