Artist's Speech: JOSE LERMA Associate Professor Greg Perkins of the University of Tampa, 11 am, Thursday, 1st December. Editor's note: Moorish Tampa Bay Hotel in Tampa was purchased by the University of Tampa in 1931 and is an iconic part of schools and botanical museums. Belleair's original brown Belleview hotel was called "The White Queen of the Bay" when Henry's son Morton inherited it and painted it white in 1900. It has changed hands and experienced new additions over the years, known as Belleview Biltmore in 1919. After several years of vacancy, the original Belleview Hotel will be Belleview Inn, the center of the JMC Community Belleview Place Community Center.
