Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta was founded by Mr. H. Probosutedjo (founder of the Menara Bhakti Foundation / Mercu Buana University) on October 22, 1985, initially only 118 people. In the 2014-2015 academic year, the university greeted 25,000 active students in 23 projects. 2 diploma courses, 16 undergraduate courses and 5 graduate courses. All courses are certified by the National Certification Committee of the Republic of Indonesia. In 2016, Universitas Mercu Buana received the highest score "A" from the Indonesian National Certification Committee of Indonesia, accredited by this agency.

Mercu Buana University achieved superior results in 2017 because it acquired the "A" certification of the National Institute of Higher Education Institutes (BAN-PT), provided a wonderful concept to the university and achieved this goal. In relation to this, the government involved 648 companies to accelerate the competitiveness of the labor force and started the so-called national comprehensive apprenticeship program through the Ministry of Manpower. This is consistent with Mercu Buana's arrangement, giving all students the apprenticeship experience.

In addition to Mercu Buana University, by considering the research of the Ministry of Higher Education on research technology and downstream policy (hilirisasi), by giving priority to research, research and innovation brings solutions to the many problems society faces I can.

The dependent variable for this study is SWB and the independent variable is variable DI. There are a total of 105 students at Mercu Buana University in Yogyakarta, 62 men and 43 girls, and in addition to DIY, there are students who have studied for one semester at Mercu Buana University in Yogyakarta. High school (Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta or Regional Yogyakarta). The research data collection method is based on the proportional method, (1) the size of the SWB, that is, the three elements: aspect, excitement, dissatisfaction and satisfaction, (2) DI scale, Echtner and Ritche (1991).
