The Oakland School is committed to the development of the MAISA ELA common core learning unit which is piloted and reviewed by state-wide teachers. This multi-year project created a comprehensive K-12 course that meets various criteria as well as standards. These modules are not scripts but teacher guidelines and we encourage educators to adapt to their population and background.
In this case, specific research units are related to major aspects of geopolitical research components or geopolitical subject areas. These units of learning may be related to concepts such as demographics and trade as a major research area. Other units of analysis may be related to the use or imbalance of the regional climate, region, natural resources, technology, and the political aspect of the area being evaluated. Regarding the geopolitical aspects of China's trade relations, all these factors are potential participants of the analysis unit, especially if it is oriented toward US-China relations. For example, technical imbalances may bring high-level technology to countries that benefit trade and benefits. Factors such as efficiency can be a quiet driving force behind the success of high-tech countries.
There are 10 units of research, most of which focus on topics based on scientific or social research. These topic-driven units have three lessons. These courses include two short readings and two extended readings designed to build knowledge and vocabulary about the identified topic. Supplement and scoring text also support this theme, balancing literature and non-text. Each unit is driven by a fundamental problem that forms the framework of the learning unit and provides a true correlation with the unit. Tasks of various focused questions are included in additional resources. This allows students to build knowledge, further increase vocabulary and improve reading comprehension. Students read a collection of texts centered around topics. The last assignment for each unit reflects the depth of text and understanding on student engagement levels and topics
