America's participation during the Cold War began with the Korean War. The war began on June 25, 1950, when the troops from North Korea entered the 38th parallel line of the borderline established between North Korea and South Korea after the Second World War. The northern part was supported by the Soviet Union and the People's Republic of China, and the southern part was supported by the United States of America and its allies. Their attacks were one of the first military measures of the Cold War (the "Korean War"). When North Korea invaded South Korea,
In 1950, the United States was involved in the Korean War. After the North Korean armies invaded this country, President Truman dispatched the US military to South Korea. Despite a resolution by the United Nations, the president did not ask Congress for a declaration of war. Based on his interpretation of intrinsic power, President Truman issued an enforcement orders for military operations that failed to implement price controls normally associated with war. Instead, Truman tries to control the price and wage of inflation.
In the 1950s, I could not catch the notorious tension of the Cold War over the Korean War. To prevent the spread of communism in North Korea, the Korean War was a bold political victory for the United States. Because the United States sent a clear message to the world that the first military operations of the Cold War and the spread of communism are the strongest in America. The army will not be tolerated. In addition, the Korean War was caused by the economic interests of the United States.
Between the Korean War and the Vietnam War, the United States found himself in a violent conflict situation without a war declaration. Many parliamentarians are starting to pay attention to the weakening of Congress' power to decide when the United States should participate in the war or to use armies that may lead to war. The news was that President Nixon secretly exploded Cambodia during the Vietnam War without notifying Congress.
Starting with the participation in the Korean War, Vietnam, the Gulf War, Afghanistan, the Iraq War, and Kosovo, Somalia, and Libya, the United States often participates in other cases. In addition to many other smaller interventions, our country is often referred to as the World Police Force, but it does not have a nice meaning. Many people understand the internal struggle of our country and we guarantee that we can not interfere with other countries when the domestic situation is not completely reasonable. It is our growing debt to go on and more war and intervention will only increase that. Isolationism is an attractive idea that George Washington proposed in a speech by parting.
