Ethical marketing has obvious advantages and disadvantages. Unethical advertising is usually as effective as unethical advertising (see Black Hat Marketing). As unethical behavior is not necessarily illegal, many companies use unethical advertisements to gain a competitive advantage. Even if they are rare, many people buy diet pills if they are effective. This is because some diet drug companies basically use exaggerated manipulated claims to fool their customers to purchase these products. If the same company promises to use ethical advertisements, they may go bankrupt. However, their business model may be sneaky, which is not illegal, but remains open
Many companies are evaluating environmental factors that may make employees comply with unethical behavior. The competitive business environment can lead to unethical behavior. In areas such as trade, people began to tell lies. An example of this is the problem of unethical behavior surrounding Salomon's brothers. Others believe that corporate ethics policy is primarily due to utilitarian concerns and is primarily to limit corporate legal liability or to show excellent citizenship to please the public I believe. Because employees follow the rules, it is ideal for the company to avoid litigation. In the case of a lawsuit, the company can assert that if the employee properly observes the code it will be fine.
From my research on this topic, I found a commonality of many malicious companies. Unethical companies usually focus on short term benefits. They have not yet developed a sustainable business strategy that will allow them to think for a long time. In addition, unethical companies are usually fans. They lack innovation. This often leads to a false indication of the company. In some cases salesmen are as simple as exaggerating the advantages of their company's products or they may be as harsh as false propaganda. Unethical companies are full of bad decisions and bad management team
