Understanding Management: Social Science Foundations

Paul Willman is a professor of business at London School of Economics. He was the head of the Employment Relations and Organizational Action Team from 2008 to 2011. He designed and launched a two-year master's degree in business administration and launched a modular executive version (Global MiM) in 2013. He is a professor at Balliol University in Oxford, Ernest Butten, Professor of Management at Saeed School of Business at Oxford University from 2000 to 2006. From 2001 to 2003 he was Executive Education Director at Oxford University and served as founder of Oxford EMBA. He was a professor of organizational behavior and labor relations at London Business School from 1991 to 2000. He was the director of the Sloan Master Program from 1989 to 1992 and served as head of the Organizational Action Team from 1998 to 2000.

Henry W. Riecken (1917-2012) is an excellent social scientist who chaired the Social Science Research Council from 1966 to 1971. He is also the first director of the Social Sciences Division of the National Science Foundation. I also taught at Harvard University, Minnesota University, Pennsylvania University.
