Under Autocracy, The Eroding of Trust

In the New York newspaper, Michael Idov born in Russia began to return to Moscow in 2011 to reflect the Russian version of GQ. I was surprised by the ironic culture he encountered - reaction to the constant fraud under the guidance of Vladimir Putin and oppression of dictatorship. He wondered whether Mr. Trump had similar confidence and defeat in the United States.

People tend to imagine life in authoritarian regime as fear and repression. Armed men on the street, comprehensive surveillance, cry of the slogan, the secret of a whisper. This may also apply to cases where we have talked about endlessly about the possibilities that dictators may harm open society like the recent American liberal nightmare. However, residents of mixed systems like Russia (autocratic system that holds a democratic position) know that Orwell's idea is unnecessary romance. I soon discovered that the life of the Russians was contaminated by fear rather than scorn: This ubiquitous concept insists that no institution is trustworthy as no agencies are more greedy than their heads To do. This ironic attitude is combined with an infinite conspiracy theory for everything and forms the core of defense (if you anticipate the worst case it is difficult to betray your expectations). But this is equal to defeat. And, interestingly, the higher the food chain you are traveling, the more you will meet. As Russia has started exporting the world view to the world in the form of nationalist populism embodied by Donald Trump, I see increasingly my age there and I am looking forward to the United States I will point out.

Even our institutions, politicians and even our compatriots will erode trust, anything that enhances trust should be actively seen. In my article "Quantified workplace: technology and trust" I commented that potential intrusive technology could be introduced to the workplace, but this only happens at the speed of employee trust I guess. Given the practical attributes of storing digital records, implementing smart contracts, and effective interactions, there are many real applications and experiments. The lack of trust is one of the most difficult obstacles to intimacy. It represents a simple lack of confidence in ourselves and excessive dependence on time. Memory of past uncertainty and concern about future problems will impair trust. When you are worried too much about the past and the future, you need to worry about speculative issues. It may not be a problem right now, but as I start thinking about everything that may not work, I am crazy. People are thinking about something that does not work over several hours a day. why? Trust requires you to live peacefully with yourself at this time. If you believe that you exist, you can trust others. If someone hurt you, you have the ability to leave. However, if you choose to be with someone, you need to provide trust by default. If you do not do this you will not be rewarded and this relationship will be eroded.

Great leaders know that trust will affect everything they do. High confidence can stimulate creativity and engagement, but low confidence can weaken relationships, results and promises. Great leaders know that trust is not an easy task. It can not be packaged and delivered once a year. This is a continuous effort and is based on behavior rather than words. A good leader clearly shows the purpose of the team and the direction of the organization. They not only try to maintain the status quo, they do not respond to every stimulus. Instead, they motivate people to understand the "cause" behind what they are doing. These leaders know that if the "reason" is large enough, the team can overcome all obstacles.
