This is the time of the year. For UCLA engineering students, the third week is always a hassle. Starting in the middle term, preparing for internships and full-time estimates, preparing for an interview, participating in a job hunting fair means putting more pressure on the job at a school that is already getting excited. Participating in a job hunting fair can be tiring if it is frightening. This is always frustrating experience, as it is the first or fifth time, waiting in line for 30 minutes, doing a 3 minute demonstration, just listen to the company's reply. If you want tips to help you prepare an upcoming engineering fair, I've created a short guide based on my personal experience. I think you can find some helpful tips and use them to improve your game in work or internship search.

First of all, the university needs to upgrade its career center. In the past decade, professional offices have suffered from college reductions, exactly when students need the most service. However, improving the image of the career center is not just about investing more money. The management team of the university led by senior management must seriously consider how to rebuild or reorganize the Campus Career Center. There is no single solution or model for all universities. As Colgate University is doing, there are people who promote vocational training. Either in academic function of the institution, the career service office needs strong leadership and opportunity to build a campus connection. In order to succeed, this work must be supported and promoted by the top leaders of the campus. Break the campus silo
