Established in 1970, the University of California Santa Barbara Environmental Research Program is one of the oldest and largest projects in the country and recognized as one of the most successful undergraduate environmental programs in the world.
Our graduates with more than 6,000 graduates are in domestic and international leadership position in government, industry, law, and many other fields. Santa Barbara In November 1999, Santa Barbara at the University of California called for a liberal education working group, examined the requirements of GE, analyzed it based on the university GE program, and recommended the general education program. Potential for Improvement Task Force is also required to study the possibilities of community service components and other ethnic research courses as part of the university GE requirements. In May 2002, the working group released its report and recommended a GE program consisting of four elements: skill course, core course, and ethnic study and Western civilization courses. Skill courses fall into three categories: composition, quantitative reasoning, and foreign languages. Core fields include art research, literature and text research, history research, social science, science and mathematics.
