2-step verification is an optional feature that enhances account security. After validating 2-step verification, you need to include the 6 digit PIN created by this feature in order to verify your phone number with WhatsApp.
To enable 2-step verification, open WhatsApp> Settings> Accounts> 2-step verification> Enabled.
Once you enable this function, you can also enter your email address. If you forget this 6-digit PIN to help protect your account with this email address, you will receive a link via WhatsApp to invalidate 2-step verification by e-mail. We will not confirm this email address to confirm accuracy. We strongly urge you to enter an accurate email address so that it will not be locked if you forget your password.
IMPORTANT: If you received an email to disable 2-step verification, but do not request this action, do not click the link. Someone may try to check your phone number with WhatsApp
If 2-step verification is enabled, your number will not be able to re-authenticate WhatsApp within 7 days of last use of WhatsApp without a PIN. Therefore, if you have forgotten your PIN but do not provide e-mail to disable 2-step verification, you will not be able to reconfirm with WhatsApp within 7 days after using WhatsApp last. After this 7 days your number will be allowed to reconfirm WhatsApp without your PIN, but you will lose all pending messages after re - authentication - they are deleted. After 30 days of using WhatsApp last time, reconfirm your number on WhatsApp and if you do not have a PIN, your account will be deleted and a new account will be created after successful revalidation.
Note: In order not to forget the PIN, WhatsApp periodically prompts for PIN. If 2-step verification is not disabled, you can not disable this feature.
In an additional 2-step verification method such as Visa Verification and 3DSecure by MasterCard, many PSPs are still seeing a high reduction rate because issuers implement 2-step verification transactions. By using decision tree learning, the PSP predicts whether transactions need to be routed to the 3DSecure page for additional two-step verification, or whether the transaction will succeed even if continuing the legacy process I can do it. There are, of course, many other ways to improve business performance using transaction data available for payment. The PSP can look at ways to improve the process by acquiring the same data generated over decades and using currently available tools to create a suitable PSP for merchants and business models .
Two-step verification may be confused with two-factor authentication (2FA). There are generally two authentication methods for this. However, compared to the 2FA process, the method in two-step verification can belong to the same category of authentication factors, and the method used in 2FA is not necessarily sequential. Furthermore, authentication and authentication are not completely synonyms. Verification may be part of the real world process. For example, to present your driver's license as an identification card. Authentication is considered a conformance of the verification process designed to protect automated online systems
2-step verification: 2-step authentication protects accounts as well as passwords, and enhances security. This is how it works - after logging in, after entering the password, you are asked for another way to prove that it is really you. Accept the notification sent to the Microsoft authentication system or enter the verification code generated by the application. With this feature, someone trying to find your password will be invalid if you can not access your phone.
