In the 20th century, there were many changes in society due to the industrial revolution, the rise of capitalism, the right to vote for women, the challenge of religious beliefs, and the world war. These changes raised doubts about everything they know, including music. The question raised encouraged many composers to develop radical and changing experimental ideas, which led to the age of contemporary music. The early modernist movement was called Impressionism. Impressionist, close to symbolism, is a sort of music that advises audiences and creates an atmosphere in which they can present their own interpretations.
Today most of the popular Western music is tone, but in the early 20th century, "classical" or art music composer (see below (Section 29.4: Classic and Artistic)) will show you how to write atonical music I started to try it. . "Atonal" means literally "is not a sound". As its name implies, atonal music treats all sounds and harmonies as the same, effectively trying to avoid melody and harmony of music and tone. Intonless music is 12-tone music that tries to use each note of the chromatic scale 19 equally. Other works can even exempt the idea that music must be composed of sounds; works can be a collection of sounds and silence. Since music is not organized according to the rules of familiar Western music, many people have difficulty enjoying unscrupulous music unless some help is also learned.
