Turkey and the Arab World: Follow our lead!

Historically, the Turkish state was a major player in terms of international politics. Due to the geographical location of Turkey in Europe and the Middle East, the Turkish government plays a unique and very unstable role in both regions. Despite years of loyalty to the West over the past decade, the Islamic Justice and Development Party (AKP), the population of the Muslim population and the charismatic leader (prime minister) Recep Tayyip Eldo Ann (Recep Tayyip Erdoğan) predominate.
