True Grit Film Adaptation Analysis

The famous 'courage to courage' published by Charles Portis in 1968 was the foundation of the movies of 1969 and 2010. Coen Brothers' 2010 movie covers a lot of books, but I think they are making characters Mattie quite different from books. In the book, Marty is a 14 year old girl, she is not afraid of anything, and is not afraid to retaliate against her father Tom Cheney. Several events in the movie showed her severely, but the actors who play Marty are very cute.

In 1969, this book adapts to the script of the Western movie "True grit" directed by Margaret Roberts by "Lucky" Ned Pepper of the movie "Grit Derby", "La Boweff" of Glenn Campbell, "Henry Hathaway" of Geoff Corey did. The movie sequel, Rooster Cogburn, is the original script in 1975, John Wayne reinterprets his role, and Catherine Hepburn is an older, Eura Goodnight to work with him. The sequel is not well accepted, and this episode is considered to be an unnecessary conversion of the true grit with the Queen of Africa.

In Wayne shoes, Cohen brothers got Jeff Bridge - Matt Damon with Campbell 's shoes. In her first movie role, Hailee Steinfeld was elected as more than 15,000 applicants. The Koen brothers know that the movie will fail unless a young girl is chosen perfectly. What is the pressure?

In 2010, Joel and Ethan Cohen released another adaptation of the novel called Matt Damon, 13-year-old actress Haley as Barry Pepper as a 13-year-old actress Hailey Steinfeld, Rooster Cogburn as Mati Ross Lucky Ned And Josh Brolin as Tom Chaney. Their version focused on Marty's perspective is closer to the novel than the 1969 movie. Coen's movie was filmed in a more typical scene in the novel. (The film of 1969 was filmed in Colorado Rockies and Sierra Nevada, and the film of 2010 was filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Granger and Austin, Texas.)
