Tree of Life Web Project

The Tree of Life Network Project (ToL) is a collaboration between biologists and nature lovers gathered from all over the world. This project provides information on biodiversity, characteristics of various biota and history (phylogeny) of its evolution on more than 10,000 World Wide Web pages.

Each page contains information about a specific group such as cockroaches, split worms, Flows flowers, Tyrannosaurus, Euglena, Heliconius butterfly, club fungi, blood sucking squid etc. ToL pages are linked to each other in a hierarchical structure in the form of a life evolution tree. Starting with the roots of all life on the planet, and moving to different species along different branches, the structure of the ToL project shows a genetic link between all organisms.
