Brightness Stability When you read this page, the process is working so that you can understand it. How to see black ink on the white (paper) background page. Many of these processes are considered obvious. When light strikes the page, it reflects back to our retina and returns. These retinal images are exactly the shape and gradation of light. Next, recognize the curve of the image on the page as a character. These letters are joined together into words. When we accept these long words, our consciousness will receive a message.
Color homeostasis is closely related to the homeostasis of brightness. The fact that the color is constant means that the object's color will be treated as the same color even if the lighting conditions change. If you wear sunglasses with colored lenses, you will experience a certain color. The color lens changes the color of the light reaching the retina, but white objects still appear as red, white, and red. Interpretation of color homeostasis is the same as interpreting the homeostasis of brightness. One suggestion is that the lenses are colored with the same color, so you unconsciously "subtract" the color from the scene leaving the original color.
Perceptual constants are the cause of illusion. Color homeostasis and brightness constancy are the fact that familiar objects exhibit the same color regardless of the amount or color of light reflected by the light. If you change the brightness or color of an area that is not familiar to the object, it seems there is a difference in color and brightness. Compared to the white field, even though the brightness of the object itself does not change, the brightness of the object looks brighter against the black field (less reflected light). Similarly, the eye corrects the color contrast based on the surrounding color cast.
The relationship between object homeostasis and value homeostasis was interesting to Jean Piaget. Objects are long-lasting, interchangeable, and in the laws of energy conservation, they keep their identities even though people change or hide their position. Even virtual trading of value can see the same situation and you can see constant state of value in normative rule (Kitchener, 1991). To show Piaget's idea, you should imagine that two people share their thoughts. This is an example of a social platform where people can participate in this type of thought transaction. In the normative sense, Piaget believes that it is necessary to provide the necessary environment for effective balance.
