Transcendentalism in Henry David Thoreau and Emily Dickinson's Literature

"If one wants to know what transcendentalism is, he should clarify his view of everything in tradition and the rest be transcendental" (Boller 34) . In the United States, this era of literature has greatly shaped literature and religion. Many authors such as Henry David Thoreau and Emily Dickinson are influenced by transcendental ideas. To my surprise, the moving literary movement can change many aspects of the world, and still exists today. Transcendentalism is an American literary movement that encourages people to transcend the daily material lives, enter into their souls, and seek inner peace with themselves.

With the help of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau and Emily Dickinson, transcendence began to flourish in the 19th century. They are transcendents expressing their beliefs through poetry and prose, and they believe that "individuals are in the center of the universe" (Prentice Hall 384). The concept of transcendentalism is complicated, so few people understand. - What is transcendentalism? Transcendence was the American literary, political and philosophical movement in the early 19th century centered on the premise of Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Henry David Thoreau is an American writer of the 19th century who lived at the apex of transcendence. He became an important contributor to this movement ("H. D. T." Poetry Foundation). Thoreau got a lot of information on this sport from Thoreau's famous friend Emerson. - Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) is a philosopher and writer known for criticizing the US government at the time. In Thoreau's life, the United States has two big problems: slavery and the Mexican-American war.
