Tragedy at Texas A&M University

The tragedy of Texas A & M University of Texas A & M University and Texas College is a competitor from more than 90 years ago. Texas A & M hosts an annual firefly tradition that attracts thousands of people every year. For Texas A & M it is a tradition to build huge bonfires before competing with Texas University competitors. Students will make campfires over several weeks. On November 18, 1999, a mountain of logs collapsed and 12 A & M students died. The tradition of the Agy bonfire will never change again.

The Carnegie Foundation ranks three universities, Texas University, Texas A & M University, and Houston University in Austin, Texas as major research institutes.
